Anti-corrosion treatment Tests and Certifications
The Light Steel Frame system proves to be the most durable technology over time even in extreme conditions.

These Tests and Certifications provide insights into how the steel would behave under extreme and continuous salt exposure, which is harsher than typical outdoor exposure.

The salt spray tests for Galvalume panels coated with a thin organic layer showed minimal rust after 240 hours (0.3% rust) and 288 hours (1% rust).

Key Considerations

Bali Climate:

Bali's tropical environment, with high humidity and, in coastal areas, salt-laden air, can accelerate corrosion for exposed metals.
However, the LSF will be protected by both gypsum panels and Rockwool, significantly reducing the steel’s exposure to these corrosive elements.

Material Protection:

Gypsum Panels: Provide a barrier against moisture, reducing direct exposure to the steel frame.

Rockwool Insulation:

Offers additional fire resistance, thermal insulation, and some moisture resistance, further protecting the steel from environmental factors.

Corrosion Risk:

The Galvalume coating used in the salt spray test is designed to offer long-term resistance to corrosion, even in harsh conditions. The minimal rust observed after 240 and 288 hours of testing suggests good durability.
With indirect exposure to moisture (due to the protection from gypsum and Rockwool), the corrosion risk is significantly reduced.
